AboGuard is a Chrome browser extension that helps users detect subscription traps and free trial sign-ups. Your privacy is our top priority.

Data Collection

AboGuard does NOT collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

All subscription data you enter (names, dates, costs) is stored exclusively in your local browser using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). No data ever leaves your browser or is sent to any server.

What AboGuard Accesses

Page content: AboGuard scans web page text for subscription-related keywords (e.g., "free trial", "subscribe") to detect potential subscription sign-ups. This analysis happens entirely in your browser.
Notifications: AboGuard uses Chrome notifications to remind you before trial periods expire.
Alarms: AboGuard schedules local alarms to trigger reminders at the right time.

What AboGuard Does NOT Do

Does not collect browsing history
Does not track user behavior
Does not send data to external servers
Does not use cookies or analytics
Does not sell or share any data with third parties
Does not use remote code

Data Storage

All data is stored locally in your Chrome browser using chrome.storage.local. You can delete all stored data at any time by removing subscriptions in the AboGuard dashboard or by uninstalling the extension.

Third-Party Services

AboGuard does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics tools, or advertising networks.
